These women had all the experience that they needed to write the constitution. Abigail Adams, Phillis Wheatley, Deborah Sampson, Martha Washington, Mercy Otis Warren, Esther Reed, Dolley Madison, and Elizabeth Hamilton were the names of those brave ladies who fought for our independence. If they were to write the constitution I feel they would not have excluded men, like the men did the women. Naturally of course, our Founding Mothers were very brave. The men did a very good job at making the women feel less than, and putting an advantage for men in almost everything. Where do the women play in being equal? Well they don’t.

Men were so used to women just running the household because back then that was their “job.” It states in the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal.” Clearly in their eyes men were dominant above the women, because women had no right to vote, own land, have a job, join the military, or serve on a jury. In all honesty, when our Founding Fathers wrote the constitution they never even considered giving women rights, because women have never had any rights whatsoever. I can already tell you with how headstrong our Founding Mothers were that women would have had much more independence a long time ago if they were to write it. Before our nation’s founding Abigail Adams had already been instructing her husband John Adams who had an important role in the constitution that they needed to “remember the ladies” as they were drafting new principles for our independent nation.

Right? Well you may be wondering how our constitution would be different if it was written by women, like America’s Founding Mothers. We all know that the Constitution of the United States was written by men. America’s Constitution, but by America’s Founding Mothers
